About this tool
- On October 16, 2026, IRCC announced changes to Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. The change applies only to the new Labour Market Integration factor. The overall CRS structure and the maximum points for each factor are still to be confirmed in Ministerial Instructions. Doria will review and update this tool once the official text is published.
- You can only receive points for Canadian work experience or an eligible job offer, not both. Choose the options that match your situation to see which one gives you more points.

Step 1: Choose what applies to you
1. Spouse or common-law partner
If your spouse or common-law partner isn’t coming with you to Canada, or is already a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, choose “without a spouse or common-law partner”. You still need to declare your marital status.
2. Qualifying Canadian work experience
Qualifying Canadian work experience in any TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 job, gained in the last 10 years. One year means 1,560 hours: full-time or an equal amount of part-time work. If you worked more than one job at the same time, hours are counted only up to the equal amount of full-time work (30 hours per week). Self-employment, work done while you were a full-time student and unauthorized work don’t count.

3. Select a NOC: high-wage occupation experience in Canada
You need at least 1,560 hours of qualifying Canadian work experience gained in one or more eligible high-wage occupations. It may be continuous or not, full-time or an equal amount of part-time work, and combined across more than one eligible high-wage job. Experience in a higher level also counts toward a lower level.

4. Select a NOC: high-wage job offer
Your job offer must be valid under Express Entry: in writing, continuous, paid, full-time (at least 30 hours a week), not seasonal, and for at least 1 year in Canada once you become a permanent resident. As of November 3, 2026, you don’t need a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) for a job offer to qualify.
